When Wim Wenders released the film of Buena Vista Social Club around twenty-five years ago, many people were exposed to the music of Cuba for the first time. Ry Cooder got the ball rolling on the project and the genre of music has been popular ever since. On August 3rd the Buena Vista Orchestra will bring that music to the Astro Theater. It features Jesús "Aguaje" Ramos of Estrellas de Areito, Buena Vista Social Club and Afro-Cuban All Stars. Tickets are on sale Friday HERE

Country singer-songwriter Dillon Carmichael sold out Barnato last year, and he is coming back to do it again. Dillon has had a few hits with “I Do For You”, “Son Of A” and “Drinkin’ Problems”. Glenn Miller had a pretty short life, but left music that has lasted generations. The Glenn Miller Orchestra has been continuing that legacy since his disappearance in the 1940’s. The orchestra continues to this day and will be at the Holland Center on June 15th with tickets going on sale HERE
