With links to actual ticket sites
Well, S.O.B.! Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats are headed to Stir Cove on September 23rd. The band released South of Here this past year, and next year, the band's breakthrough self-titled album is celebrating its ten-year anniversary. Opening the show is Hannah Cohen, who just released her fourth album, Earthstar Mountain. Tickets on sale Friday HERE.
Maria Taylor will be at Slowdown on November 6th. Taylor is a member of Azure Ray with Orenda Fink and, of course, has a long connection to the Omaha indie music scene through many releases on Saddle Creek Records. Tickets for the upcoming show will go on sale Friday here.
Texas guitarist Hayden Pedigo plays acoustic guitar music that is extremely pleasant and occasionally avant-garde. He just put out the album I’ll Be Waving As You Drive Away this past week, and I have found it very enjoyable. He will be at Reverb Lounge on November 20th, and you can get tickets HERE on Friday.
Trap artist EST Gee will be at The Admiral on August 22nd. The Kentucky rapper released his second album, I Ain’t Feeling You, in January. His debut album was a Billboard Top Ten. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday HERE.
Portland band Glitterfox has a new album coming out on August 22nd called Decoder. The band's sound is evolving and seems to have more synth-pop in it versus a more Americana sound previously—at least their new song “Wildfires” does. I dig it. They will be at Reverb Lounge on September 20th. Tickets on sale HERE.
I have not followed this guy very closely or listened to any of his albums, but if you have been online in the last decade, you have stopped on one of his streams where he kind of freestyles in his underwear, looping music at the request of people. I know I have watched more than a few minutes of this. Looks like he has enough material and interest to do shows at a venue the size of Steelhouse Omaha. Ticket on sale Friday HERE for Marc Rebillet on October 13th.
The last couple of years, Ward Davis has come through Buck’s and done a string of like five sold-out shows in a row. On July 24th, he is bringing the band. So that might only mean one show, or who knows. Right now, it is one show, and you can get tickets HERE, and they will sell out very quickly.
Country artist Bri Bagwell will be at Reverb Lounge on September 25th. She is the Texas Female Artist of the Decade, and she should have a new album out right around the time this show happens. If you like Ashley McBryde, I think you will like Bri Bagwell. Tickets on sale Friday HERE. Her new song ‘Border Girl’ is on streaming now.
Big Gigantic are a big EDM duo, and them being from Boulder meant they came through our area a lot as they were building up. They have a large and loyal following in Omaha that might even be to the point of being nostalgic for the group. Tickets for the outdoor Benson show from Waiting Room go on sale Friday HERE. The show happens October 11th and will be a party.
Country artist Hailey Whitters just put out her new album Corn Queen last week. I like it a lot. This is her fourth album, and it follows her writing songs for Little Big Town and Alan Jackson and touring with Marren Morris, Luke Combs and Jon Pardi. The Shueyville, Iowa will be at Slowdown on September 18th and tickets go on sale Friday HERE
They will play the move Evil Dead at The Astro on October 15th. They will play the score live on stage that night. You can get tickets HERE on Friday.
Rappers Ekoh and Arankai will be at Bourbon Theater on August 27th. Tickets are on sale Friday HERE
You can hear the music of the video game The Witcher performed live at The Orpheum Theater on September 10th. Tickets are on sale HERE “Witness the open-world RPG’s timeless score brought to life with a live orchestra performance, featuring special appearances by Polish folk metal band Percival, the original co-composers of the game’s soundtrack.”
Korean indie rock band Wave to Earth is coming to Steelhouse Omaha on August 6th. This is not K-Pop, but an actual rock band. Tickets are on sale HERE on Friday.
Cosmic Charlie has been doing the Grateful Dead for over twenty-five years. The Georgia band does not mimic The Dead but riffs off their songs. They will be at Bourbon Theater on September 7th. The ticket link is currently not working, but I am sure if you check back, they will get that fixed soon.
Singer-songwriter Adam Melcher just put out his new album The Diary of Living and he will bring those songs to Reverb Lounge on October 2nd. You can get tickets HERE on Friday.
Up-and-coming pop artist Noah Floersch is at Slowdown on October 13th. The artist from Omaha has a hit under his belt with “Ghost of Chicago". He is getting a following so this time around he will be in the main room. Tickets on sale HERE on Friday.
The Reggaeton Rave will happen on July 26th when DJ’s descend upon Steelhouse Omaha. Tickets on sale HERE on Friday.
’90s country meets early 2000s country when Tracy Lawrence and Josh Turner head outdoors on September 26th at The Astro. You will hear some of Tracy’s eight number-one hits, including “Texas Tornado” and “Alibis” (I assume), and some of Josh’s number ones, including “Time Is Love” and “Why Don’t We Just Dance.” Tickets go on sale HERE on Friday.
Rising singer-songwriter Avery Anna just released her new album Let Go Letter last month. She may be best known at this point for her duet with Sam Barber on the song “Indigo.” She has been labeled country, but her new album is definitely pushing into the pop arena. She will be at Slowdown on December 18th, and tickets are on sale HERE on Friday.
Classic prog rock band YES return to Omaha to do their classic album Fragile. They will perform that with other classic cuts at Steelhouse Omaha on November 7th. Tickets are on sale HERE on Friday.
Emo rapper Hobo Johnson is coming to Slowdown with his group The Lovemakers. I guess he is celebrating his song “Peach Scone”, which came out in 2018. Why not? Get tickets to the November 13th show HERE on Friday.
California EDM duo Hippie Sabotage are headed to The Admiral on November 10th. Tickets go on sale Friday
