Known as "the Grace Jones of jazz", Lady Blackbird will be at the Holland Music Club on April 8th. She will be touring on her Slang Spirituals album, and you should check that out, but make sure you check out her 2021 album Black Acid Soul. Then buy tickets HERE on Friday.
Very excited for Finom to return to Omaha. The duo used to be known as Ohmme, but had to change their name for legal reasons. They have put out some of my favorite albums in the last decade and their previous Omaha shows were fantastic. Free jazz guitarist Mike Baggetta, drummer Stephen Hodges and bassist Mike Watt are MSSV and they will be at Reverb Lounge on April 21st. Watt of course is from Minutemen and Firehose and has played with just about everyone of importance. Hodges has played on some of Tom Waits most respected albums as well as one of my favorite soundtracks of all time Until The End of the World. Tickets on sale HERE

The Swedish singer-songwriter Tallest Man On Earth will be in concert at Bourbon Theater on April 22nd. This will be a solo trek with songs from his seven full length albums and more. Tickets on sale HERE
Emo rock band The Funeral Portrait just released their new album Greetings From Suffocate City a couple months back. The album features lots of guests like Spencer Charnas from Ice Nine Kills, Danny Worsnop, Bert McCracken from The Used, and Eva Under Fire. They will be playing at Bourbon Theater on January 23rd.
