Today English post punk band and incredible musicians all around, Black Country, New Road released their new single “Besties”. They will release the album Forever Howlong coming on April 4th. The band will come to Slowdown on May 14th with Friko, whose debut album was one of the most critically acclaimed of last year. Friko is also scheduled to be at Reverb Lounge on May 20th. We finally get an indoor The Faint show in Omaha. After many daytime outdoor shows (which were all excellent), we get The Faint in “the dark,” where their music just feels a little more natural. The band that was birthed here in Omaha will be at The Waiting Room on April 3rd. They have been reissuing their old albums recently, so we will see what kind of set we get. Americana artist Sierra Ferrell is really on the rise. She was nominated for four Grammys last year for her 2024 album, Trail Of Flowers (a deluxe edition comes out tomorrow). She has sold out Slowdown and The Admiral, so this time around it will be outdoors at The Astro Amphitheater on July 15th. Tickets go on sale Friday HERE.
Black metal shoegaze band (yes, that is a thing) Deafheaven has been doing this for 25 years now and seems to keep getting more followers as time goes on. The band will release their new album, Lonely People with Power, on March 28th. The new song “Magnolia” is definitely more in the metal vein. Sofia Isella is a classically trained violinist, singer-songwriter and she opened up a show on Taylor Swifts Era’s Tour along with a lot of dates with Melanie Martinez. Her 2024 EP I Can Be Your Mother has a dark tone and I bet fans of Melanie and Billie Eilish are already well aware of her. Monique Powell returns to Omaha to play with the current version of Save Ferris at The Waiting Room. The ska band that came along during the revival years of the late 90s had a hit with their album It Means Everything and their cover of Dexy’s Midnight Runners song “Come on Eileen.”. The legendary guitarist Buckethead returns to Omaha to play at The Admiral on March 11th. Along with his solo career, he has played in Praxis, lots of Parliament and Funkadelic side projects, Primus projects, and a band called Guns N’ Roses. Tickets go on sale Friday HERE.
The Italian metal band Lacuna Coil has been doing this for over three decades now, and it has been six years since their last full-length album, Black Anima. Fans have plenty of reasons to get excited for 2025 because their new album, Sleepless Empire, is out on Valentine's Day, and you get to see them live at The Bourbon Theater on May 15th! Soul legends Earth, Wind & Fire return to the area on July 16th for a show at The Astro Amphitheater. I just saw them last year opening for Lionel Richie and they still put on a hell of a show. Tickets are on sale Friday HERE

Country and Americana upstart Dylan Gossett, along with Max McNown, will be your opening night entertainment for the Pinnacle Bank Championship at Indian Creek. Gossett has spent time opening shows for Noah Kahan and Wyatt Flores. Last year he was pumping out singles and touring the states and Europe. Tickets on sale HERE on Friday.
