Happy Tuesday! There are a lot of shows (hopefully) happening over the next couple of days and you can check them out below. If you want to check out the whole week, you can do that HERE If you need some new music, you can check out last weeks album list and Apple Music and Spotify playlist I put together HERE. Did you see all the shows that were announced last week? If not, you can do that HERE
90’s alt. rockers Collective Soul will be at Steelhouse Omaha on Tuesday. The band actually kept going and just put out their 12th album last year, and it’s well over an hour long. They have music to get out, and they will do it tonight, as I think it is just them. This is their 30th Anniversary tour, so expect to hear all the hits (Yeah!).
Portland-based indie folk band Blind Pilot came back with their first album in eight years last year. Tuesday at The Waiting Room you can hear songs from In The Shadow of the Holy Mountain and their previous three albums. Opening the gig is North Carolina multi-instrumentalist songwriting duo Viv & Riley.
Tuesday at Buck’s Bar and Grill is country singer-songwriter Alex Williams. I just saw him again on Sunday for the matinee show and it was excellent. He played a lot of his latest album and a few 80’s metal covers from an upcoming project and finished with a whole slew of fan favorites. This is a good time. Lucas Minor opens the show, and he was also on point on Sunday.
Wednesday starts the Ward Davis at Bucks Bar and Grill residency. Popular country singer-songwriter Ward Davis occasionally does a string of shows at Bucks Bar and Grill, and this one coming up is all sold out except for the Wednesday show on the 12th. That will surely also sell out, so if you want to see what many people already know, grab those tickets now. These shows happen Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
It is the 20th anniversary of the Lincoln Exposed festival and it starts Wednesday night and goes through Saturday. See over 100 bands and artists from the Lincoln area over four days at five venues, including 1867, Bourbon Theater, Bodega’s Alley, Duffy’s Tavern, and The Zoo Bar. I have gone over the years to this event, including a night last year, and it’s a blast and super easy to move around between bars and see as much as you can.
