Wednesday and Thursday Live Music Lineup
Happy Mid‑Week-It’s a bit slow because of the holiday, so a quick read today, and we will cover both Wednesday and Thursday. I will have the July Live Music Preview out tomorrow morning, the onsale list on Thursday, and we will cover the entire weekend in a post on Friday, as it’s a bit light this weekend also. There will be no Sunday album post, as not much comes out on holiday weekends.
I have a new interview up on The Reader about Syncopate, a musician match‑making app based HERE in Omaha. Interesting stuff, especially if you are an area musician.
Starting July 6th-Omaha Buzz (me) will be doing a segment on Monday’s on 89.7 The River’s Morning Fiasco around 8:15. This will happen every week and I will talk about some shows coming up, some shows I saw the previous week and other things. Very excited to talk to more people about all the live music options in our area.

The next installment of the Tallgrass Prairie sessions happens on Wednesday night. This a a free showcase put on by Justin Phillip Lamoureux and featuring seven other songwriters. It’s a fun event, and I hope to stop by this week. We will see French Bangs, Leslie Palensky, Matt Tompkins, Wayne Infamous & The Dangerous Moment, Gerald Lee Jr., Patrick Conrad, and Carrie Ann.
St. Louis progressive punk jazz band Kirkos will be making a trip through Nebraska this week. They will be at Brokedown Palace on Thursday and Bodega’s Alley in Lincoln on Wednesday. The band just released a live album called Alive in 25 this past February. They will be joined by Cruz Control on the Omaha show.
Indiana thrash metal band Graveripper will return to Omaha and bring songs from their second album From Welkin To Tundra to Reverb Lounge on Wednesday. They will be joined by a slew of Nebraska bands rounding out the lineup.
