Juggalo Night Two, Rising Country Artist, Songwriter Night Features Touring Acts, and "I can ride my bike with no handlebars, no handlebars, no handlebars"
Wednesday and Thursday Night Live Music Lineup
Happy Wednesday (or Thursday)—we are going to combine the two days today. I will be back on Thursday with the on-sale concert list for the week. It may be a slow week in the department. You can catch up on everything happening this week HERE with the full week calendar, and if you need some new music, I got you covered HERE with the album list from last week, my thoughts on some of them, and playlists.
Yoke Lore is a multi-instrumentalist, dancer, and visual artist whose given name is Adrian Galvin. Galvin was previously in the band Walk The Moon and released an album in 2023 called Toward A Never Ending New Beginning. There have been new songs, including “The Score” and “Just Like Idiots,” but nothing on the horizon that I can find that says a new album is on the way. Maybe Yoke Lore will let you all know what the deal is Wednesday at Waiting Room.
Some of you are still on a high from last night's Insane Clown Posse show at The Admiral. Well, you can keep that going tonight with juggalo Ouija Macc. Ouija Macc will be touring with Snizter, and the two of them just released a trio of songs, including “Oscar Meyer.” I know Justin Strawstone is on tour, but man, he is missing out on a Decent Dogs tie-in when they play Reverb Lounge on Wednesday.
Denver hip-hop band Flobots have been doing this for 20 years now. They had the hit song “Handlebars” and put out a few albums after that, but have been pretty quiet on record since 2017. They are out on The Revival mini-tour, and they hit Barnato on Thursday.
The monthly singer-songwriter showcase at North Omaha Music and Arts is expanding beyond our area on this month's edition. We have our own Jocelyn on stage, but also Dickie from Des Moines. Dickie is Dick Prall, who is out of Des Moines and was a member of a band I used to love called Starch Martins—who I think were out of Chicago. He has done a lot since the Starch Martins, including playing with Wilco and releasing music under the Dickie name. His 2019 album Minus Thieves was co-produced by Pat Sansone of Wilco. Nashville Americana artist Jolene Dixon is also playing some shows around Omaha this week, and St. Louis songwriter Joey Ferber rounds out the lineup. Matt Banta will return to his hosting duties this month.
Texas country aritst Billie Jo Jones is on the rise with her 2025 album Some Girls Don’t Cry and her latest single “Flame”. She will be at Granary Green on Thursday out in Ralston.
