Make sure to not miss out on any of them and subscribe to Omaha Buzz. It is free to subscribe, and there is no paywall. You get to see everything. I do rely on paid support subscriptions to keep this going. I have a goal of eight new paid subscriptions a month. I am looking for seven more for April. Thank you to everyone who has subscribed and shared Omaha Buzz. I will see you at the shows. MarQ
Other ways to support if you do not want to subscribe or want to support further are below. Thank you!
Rockabilly and horror‑punk band The Koffin Kats are coming to Reverb Lounge Wednesday. Hear songs from their ten albums, including 2024’s Higher Lows. Also on the lineup is popular punk band The Rumours from Waterloo, Iowa, who have been popping out new singles such as “San Francisco Coffee Shop Freakout” and “I Said No”. Rounding out the bill is Carrie Nation & The Speakeasy, a kind of bluegrass‑meets‑brass outfit that’s extremely ramped up. Interesting stuff.
Missouri born jazz guitar legend Pat Metheny is coming to Holland Performing Arts Center on Wednesday. It would take a book to list off his weight, worth and accomplishments, but he is massive name in fusion jazz and beyond and has put out some of the definitive albums in that genre. He is the only artist to win a Grammy in ten different categories! His new album Side-Eye III is excellent.
It’s kind of wild to think of Kenny G as almost 70 years old. He did start in 1973 playing with Barry White. From there he went on to sell well over 75 million albums. You know who is one of Kenny G’s biggest critics? That Pat Metheny guy playing the same night in Omaha. Maybe we can have them meet at the Denny’s in Gretna for a parking lot rumble. He will be at Lied Center in Lincoln on Wednesday.
Rapper Curren$y has put out like a million mixtape albums. There were five in 2025 alone. I think his record is 12 in a year. So far he has already put one out in 2026 called Everywhere You Look. Who knows what he will perform at Bourbon Theater when he shows up there on Wednesday. Maybe Kenny G will come over and jam.
Vanessa Collier is a twelve-time Blues Music Award nominee, including a nomination for the BB King Entertainer of the Year Award. The saxophonist and singer-songwriter released her fifth solo album, Do It My Own Way, last year. She will be at The Zoo Bar on Wednesday.
