Saturday and Sunday Live Music Lineup
"Popular blues rocker Tommy Castro recently released his new album, Closer to the Bone. He has been recognized as Blues Entertainer of the Year multiple times, including in 2023, when he won the rebranded B.B. King Entertainer of the Year award at the Blues Music Awards. He will be performing at The Waiting Room on Sunday."
Area hip-hop artist C10 will follow up 2020’s Clayjack Horseburn album with a sequel at Reverb Lounge on Saturday night. The lineup will also include T-Dro, Mumbles, BPositive, Sugar Cones, Jamie Triller and more.
A little over a year ago, Randall King released the album Into the Neon. A little over two weeks ago, he released an acoustic version of that album. He will be bringing songs from that album, as well as his previous two, which include hits like “You in a Honky Tonk,” “Mirror, Mirror,” and more, to the Bourbon Theater on Saturday night. Walker Montgomery is also on the lineup.
It is the annual Blues Society of Omaha meeting, and this might be the only meeting around that also includes a show. The Jerimiah Johnson Band from St. Louis combines southern rock and other genres with blues and brings it to the stage. They have released several Billboard-charting blues albums and put out a live album last year.
Scriptown Brewing will be hosting Goat Fest during the afternoon. This event will have area bands Cowgirl Eastern and Velvet Velvet and I guess actual living goats.
Other happenings this weekend include Billboard-charting country artist Drake White at Barnato. That show is SOLD OUT. Bucks Bar and Grill will have its second night in a row of bands that fit the venue but lean more toward the rock side. Tonight, it features Eli Howard and the Greater Good. The Omaha Symphony will be performing Pirates of the Caribbean at the Holland Center on Saturday and Sunday, while reggae artist Trevor Hall is at Slowdown on Sunday. Singer-songwriters Jason Anderson and Stephen Bartolomei will also perform at Pageturners Lounge on Sunday evening.
