Welcome to the weekend!
Friday night has turned into a night where you have an unusual amount of DJ events happening around town. Krug Park in Benson will host G3 and an event called Sounds of Blackness in celebration of Black History Month. I have been watching G3 spin music for over thirty years, and he continues to put on clinics around town behind the decks.
At Drips Botanical Elements Pod in the Vinton Area, there is house music with Adam DeMars and Lowercase Tres. The Sydney will host a Kobra vs. Crab showdown with Kobrakyle and Crabrangucci. DJ Marcs will be at 10Forward in Benson for an event called Foward Friday, and DJ Laratech will be in the Old Market at Bar 415. Get Down Ultra Lounge in Florence has DJ Leeper early doing a VS Battle between BoyzIIMen and Jodeci and DJ Blackout late.
Then at The Waiting Room is an EDM and DJ event called The Trine Aspect with Midweswubz, M00SE, Unlückï , Snipes_Dubz, and more. There is plenty of live music happening, including funk and jam band Lettuce at The Astro with the opening act—you guessed it—a DJ set from Nigel Hall.
