Future Islands return to Omaha for a show at The Admiral on May 7th. The band did a few shows at The Waiting Room during the last decade, but we haven’t seen them around here in awhile. They are touring on their latest album People Who Aren’t There Anymore. Tickets on sale Friday HERE
One of my all-time favorite performers, James McMurtry, is coming back to the Waiting Room on April 17th. The singer-songwriter has been doing it since the 1980s, but his most recent album is, in my opinion, his best. He has a fantastic catalog of songs and is amazing on stage. Tickets on sale Friday HERE.
Interesting. I have never listened to this band before, but this is a lot of fun. Australia rarely misses these days, and this band is from Australia. Check out Dune Rats at Reverb Lounge on February 23rd. Tickets are on sale HERE.
Fun grab for Pinewood Bowl with Rainbow Kitten Surprise on August 2nd with Medium Build. The band have been around over a decade, but really had a rocket strapped to them the last five or so years. Tickets on sale Friday HERE
Popular rock bands Shinedown and Beartooth are coming to the Chi Health Center Arena on April 26th. Kind of surprised to see one of my favorite artists, Morgan Wade, on the lineup, but good for her. She is certainly worth getting there early for. Tickets are on sale Friday HERE.
John Ondrasik is Five For Fighting and he will bring his large cache of hits to The Admiral and this time he will be also be bringing a string quartet with him. You can get tickets to the April 26th show HERE on Friday.
Cleveland punk band Pillars is heading to Lincoln with Infuriate out of Minneapolis and both will join area bands Disrepair and Blowing Chunks at El Proyecto. This looks like a pay at the door thing. Show is on March 6th.
Let me tell you, if Ace Monroe came out in the 80s when I was 15, I would have rushed to the store to buy this cassette. They have this bluesy glam rock throwback. Most bands these days that try to do this come off as a parody, but this band actually pulls it off genuinely for once. It’s a lot of fun, and this band might actually be the catalyst to truly bring this sound back. They are at Reverb on March 5th. Tickets on sale HERE.
This one is making area jam band fans very happy, I am sure. This is a big one, as The String Cheese Incident will be at Steelhouse Omaha on May 21st. Tickets on sale HERE on Friday.
Country star Jason Aldean will bring Nate Smith, Raelynn and Dee Jay Silver to Pinnacle Bank Arena for the Full Throttle Tour. Tickets on sale Friday HERE.
Original Righteous Brother Bill Medley will bring the songs of the Righteous Brothers to Steelhouse Omaha on his farewell tour. Joining him will be Bucky Heard. You will hear all of the hits that were huge in the 60s and then became hits again in the 70s and then hits again in the 80s and 90s when they appeared in movies like Ghost. I am sure Bill will also sing his number one hit from Dirty Dancing. Tickets on sale this Friday for the August 24th show HERE.
His name is Kid Rock and he is coming to CHI Health Center Omaha on March 21st with country artist Chris Janson. Tickets on sale Friday HERE
