Tonight is the release party for country and Americana band Clarence Tilton’s new album Queen of the Brawl. I did an interview with them in The Reader which you can read HERE It’s a fantastic album and I highly recommend checking it out. They will be at Reverb Lounge this evening.
Touring ska bands, Save Ferris and Keep Flying head to Omaha for a show at Waiting Room to play with Omaha ska legends The Bishops. Save Ferris is of course known for their 90’s hit cover of Dexy’s Midnight Runners song “Come On Eileen”.
Black metal shoegaze band (yes, that is a thing) Deafheaven has been doing this for 25 years now and seems to keep getting more followers as time goes on. The band released their new album, Lonely People with Power, on March 28th. Gatecreeper and Trauma Ray will join the band at Slowdown tonight.
TheYou may know Lily Rose from her huge hit “Villain” or her doing vocals on Diplo’s song “Sad In The Summer”. Maybe you know her from performances on The Voice or Good Morning America? Lily will be at Barnato on May 2nd and this performance has been SOLD OUT for a long time.
Ohio metalcore band Devil Wears Prada will be at Bourbon Theater tonight with Erra. DWP just released a new song called “For You” a couple weeks back and that followed the song “Ritual”. They are talking about a follow up to 2022’s Color Decay album.
You may have seen pictures of the lines at the Backseat Lovers show at The Admiral. That was just night one! Tonight’s show is SOLD OUT. Salt Lake City indie rock band Backseat Lovers have gotten so popular that they are doing double dates now. They will be at The Admiral on May 1st and May 2nd. The Friday show has been sold out for awhile and it looks like only a small amount of premium balcony tickets exist for the Thursday show.
Clozee is a French DJ who has been putting out albums for over a decade now. When she teams up with fellow EDM artist LSDREAM they become LSZEE. They will be performing a TWO night event at Steelhouse Omaha with different sets and different artists both nights.
Other happenings tonight include 80’s tribute band The Damones opening at the Granary Green in Ralston for their 2025 outdoor season. Jocelyn will hold court at The Jewell on Capitol. Junkstock Weekend Two is happening, and today you will see Jimmy Little, Orion Walsh and Rambling Heart, Room With A View, and Kevin Smith.
A couple of multi-band billings tonight include Las Cruxes, The Aphasias, The Bold Pilots, and Ronette Lee at Razor Wire Productions, as well as Framing Hanley with Makeout, Rookie of the Year, Sierra Annie, and Blondo at 1867 in Lincoln.
If you're looking for some country music, you can check out Trenton Fletcher at Bucks Bar and Grill or Lloyd McCarter and the Honky-Tonk Revival at The Zoo Bar for the early FAC show.
